The Home Room is a profile-specific room that serves as the base for the profile. It provides a starting place and introduction for the content of the rooms available in the profile. When patrons open the profile, unless a link has been provided that opens a specific room in the profile, the profile displays the Home Page. Because you may have several profiles for purposes and content, Portfolio provides a unique Home Room for each profile.
As you create and edit the Home Room for a profile, remember to consider the purpose of the entire profile. The Home Room is where you introduce the content below it and set the expectations for the patron. You can use any of the available layouts for the Home Room and include any content that is allowed in other rooms.
